QUT PROJECTS:

Clothes for Careers

 DESIGN PARTNER: ALICE GLUSZYK

QUT’s latest initiative to support students, Clothes for Careers, sees staff donating their used, clean, corporate wear to the QUT Bookshops. Volunteers then sort through the clothes and will arrange them in a pop-up shop over the month of May. Eligible students who are graduating or going on work placement can come and select a work outfit to assist them in their endeavours.

Challenges with this project included: extremely short timeline (the project was already live when the brief came to the studio); brightly coloured paint on the outside of the pop-up shop that could not be removed; the target audience for donation not passing the key touchpoints that would inform them of the project.

The design partner, Alice, worked up the initial concept, which has been extended to multiple applications and patterns.

Copy was created with the internal client, Shaelah, and Amy Rawson.
